Day work sheets

Any work done outside the original contract is known as day work.
This work is usually charged at a higher rate than the original quote.
Because of the risk of disputes, day work sheets are completed and signed by the client or client’s representative.

The day work sheet will be returned to the contractor’s main office where it can be priced and the bills sent to the appropriate person/organisation.
The day work will vary in content depending on the size of the site and the type of company. However, they will always record:
the time that the work took in man hours
the material used.
